Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Petroleum Engineer to join our team in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing drilling, production, and reservoir operations to maximize hydrocarbon recovery efficiently and cost-effectively while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and supervise drilling, completion, and production operations.

  • Analyze reservoir performance data to recommend production optimization strategies.

  • Collaborate with geoscientists and other engineers to evaluate reserves and develop field development plans.

  • Select appropriate equipment, materials, and technologies to enhance production efficiency.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production operations to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Prepare technical reports, economic evaluations, and production forecasts.

  • Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company standards.

  • Provide technical support for field development and well intervention projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • Proven experience in drilling, reservoir, or production engineering (typically 3–5 years or more).

  • Strong knowledge of well design, reservoir simulation, and production optimization techniques.

  • Proficiency in petroleungineering software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, WellFlo, Pipesim).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Knowledge of HSE standards and industry regulations.

  • Ability to work in remote locations and under challenging field conditions when required.
